"At first, I doubted whether I could become a Software Engineer since I couldn’t even turn on my computer."
One day, while browsing Facebook, I accidentally discovered something called Inspect. Seeing code for the first time sparked my interest, and I decided to explore further and pursue a career as a Software Engineer.
My friend was studying at Pinecone Academy, so he recommended I check out the program. After looking into it, I found it appealing and decided to enroll.
When I first started studying at Pinecone, I had only ever worked on a Windows computer, and I didn't even know how to turn on my iMac during the first lesson. I wondered, "Can I really become a Software Engineer if I can’t even turn on my computer?" But now, reflecting on my progress, I feel very satisfied.
I graduated from Pinecone Academy in April 2024 and started working in August. Although I didn’t take a big exam to get a job, I believe being a Pinecone graduate gave me a significant advantage during interviews.
While my skills might have been less developed compared to someone with 2-3 years of experience, I had a solid foundation that held up well. Thanks to working on real projects at Pinecone, I gained valuable experience. I think studying at Pinecone allowed me to learn cutting-edge technologies in a short time, saving me years compared to traditional university education.
Recently, I collaborated on a web project for a mining presentation and an event equipment rental website. Moving forward, I hope to contribute to the artificial intelligence sector in Mongolia through my work.
Outside of work and studies, I enjoy swimming. However, my job has become a hobby in itself, so I don’t have a separate hobby. Sometimes, I like to hike in the mountains to relax.
The instructors at Pinecone taught the material in a clear and logical sequence, making it easy to understand. Additionally, all the students at Pinecone were eager to learn, which made classwork enjoyable.
While many universities often teach outdated programs, Pinecone focused on the latest technologies. The teachers conveyed to me that "if you take the initiative and work hard, anyone can learn."
