Terms and Conditions for Pinecone Coding Academy
1. Enrollment and Registration
- Registration Process: Enrollment must be completed online through our official website. All required fields in the registration form must be filled out accurately.
- Age Requirement: Students must be within the specified age range of 13 to 17 years to participate in our programs. Proof of age may be required upon registration.
- Parental Consent: For students under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian must complete the registration process and provide written consent for participation in all classes and activities.
- Eligibility: The one-day free session is available exclusively for new students who have not previously enrolled in any Pinecone Coding Academy programs.
- Limited Availability: Spaces for the free session are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage early registration to secure a spot.
Attendance Requirement: Students must attend the scheduled session for which they registered. If a scheduling conflict arises, participants may request to reschedule, subject to availability.
- Tuition Fees: Tuition fees for courses will be communicated during the registration process and may vary based on the specific program selected.
Payment Deadline: Payment is due before the start of the course. Failure to submit payment on time may result in the forfeiture of the student’s spot in the class.
Accepted Payment Methods: We accept a variety of payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and online payment platforms. Details regarding payment options will be provided during the registration process.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Cancellation Process: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to contact@pinecone.academy. A confirmation of cancellation will be sent to the provided email address.
Refund Eligibility:
A full refund will be issued for cancellations made at least 7 days prior to the start of the course.
No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date.
Class Cancellation by Academy: Pinecone Coding Academy reserves the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to enrolled students.
Code of Conduct
- Respectful Behavior: Students are expected to demonstrate respectful behavior towards instructors, peers, and the learning environment. Disruptive behavior, including but not limited to bullying, harassment, or discrimination, will not be tolerated.
Classroom Etiquette: Students should arrive on time, participate actively, and follow the instructions of the instructors. Use of electronic devices should be limited to class-related activities.
Consequences for Misconduct: Any student who engages in disruptive behavior may be asked to leave the class, and no refund will be issued.
Media Release
- Consent for Media Use: By enrolling in our programs, you consent to the use of photographs, videos, and other media taken during classes for promotional purposes. This may include social media, our website, and other marketing materials.
Opting Out: If you do not wish to have your child’s image or voice recorded and used in this manner, please notify us in writing prior to the start of the session at contact@pinecone.academy.
Intellectual Property
- Ownership of Materials: All course materials, including lesson plans, software, and instructional content, provided by Pinecone Coding Academy are the intellectual property of the academy and are for personal educational use only.
Prohibition of Distribution: Unauthorized distribution, reproduction, or modification of course materials is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.
Limitation of Liability
- Injury Disclaimer: Pinecone Coding Academy is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during participation in our programs, except as required by law.
Health and Safety Responsibility: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child’s health and safety during class. They must inform the academy of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect participation.
Modifications to Terms
- Right to Modify: Pinecone Coding Academy reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
Notification of Changes: Any changes will be communicated to enrolled students and will take effect immediately upon posting on our website.
Governing Law
- Legal Jurisdiction: These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in accordance with Washington State laws.
